During her years as a Junior at the Royal College Music, Madeleine kept diaries.  They are written in school exercise books in a developing hand, punctuated by pen and ink drawings.

The books were transcribed into type by Ro Hancock-Child in 1997 for Roger Lord.

The diaries cover the period 1935 to 1943 and give an insight into the life of a young musician during the Second World War in London.

Since the diaries are too large for download, copies in MSWord format can be obtained from us on cd-rom.  Please email your name and address and we will send by return of post.
